UniCredit wins supply chain award
UniCredit has been named 'Best Bank for Supply Chain Finance' in The Banker's Transaction Banking Awards 2020
The Banker has recognised UniCredit’s comprehensive approach to supply chain finance in this years’ Transaction Banking Awards.
This award not only acknowledges UniCredit’s innovative and customer-driven supply chain financing solutions based on a deep understanding of companies’ needs, but also its rapid response to the Covid-19 pandemic – helping customers support their providers with a growing range of digital tools.
“Given the pandemic’s impact on the global economy, and the ongoing challenge of keeping supply chains liquid, supply chain finance is more important than ever,” said Giovanni Solaroli and Luca Corsini, UniCredit’s Co-Heads of Global Transaction Banking.
“Our comprehensive approach to supply chain finance, along with our commitment to developing innovative and efficient solutions, has ensured we can continue to meet clients’ unique, ever-changing needs. This recognition from The Banker, one of the industry’s most prestigious awards programmes, is testament to our teams’ hard work, expertise, and dedication to providing our clients with best-in-class tailored solutions.”
UniCredit’s holistic approach with respect to the supply chain and working capital efficiency has been essential in helping clients develop proactive strategies to protect their supply chains. This can be achieved by employing traditional solutions such as supply chain finance or “reverse factoring“ solutions, as well as more innovative solutions such as dynamic discounting, which has been increasingly used to “fix” supply chain disruption during this crisis.
This success follows on from Euromoney‘s Awards for Excellence, where UniCredit won six awards, including Best Bank for Transaction Services in Central & Eastern Europe.
